Canine countermine
CIDC's Canine Countermine division provides mine detection dog (MDD) programs in the Balkans. These programs have served NGO demining organizations, Civil Protection authorities, national Mine Action Centres, NATO and other military operations, as well as CIDC's own mine clearance operations.
Canine countermine
Canine Countermine operates an extensive training facility near Trebinje in Bosnia-Herzegovina that includes extensive mock minefields with actual (defused) landmines buried in the ground. This replicates actual minefield conditions, and when combined with the most stringent and sophisticated testing and accreditation standards applied by independent regional mine-action regulatory authorities, CIDC is assured of graduating the highest quality MDD teams once training and accreditation has been completed.

In operation, CIDC's MDD teams are often used to define the perimeters of minefields or to perform final quality control checks before certifying land is safe for use after it has been cleared mechanically or manually.
